In July, my family and I embarked on an unforgettable journey to the stunning landscapes of Norway. Our goal was to immerse ourselves in the country’s natural wonders, from majestic mountains and cascading waterfalls to serene lakes. 

We sought to disconnect from our daily routines and embrace the adventure that awaited us in the unique 

, nestled in Hjelle. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting for our family getaway.

My adventure to the breathtaking Breifonna Dome

The journey to Hjelle was filled with excitement, and as we approached the breathtaking Norwegian landscapes, our anticipation grew. Upon arrival, the tranquility and pristine beauty of the area immediately captivated us. The Dome Beachfront Breifonna was nothing short of magical, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. The dome was thoughtfully designed to blend with the natural environment, and every detail—from the soft, comfortable beds to the cozy furnishings—was chosen to enhance the serene ambiance.

The dome provided an intimate connection with nature, allowing us to fully appreciate the stunning views from the comfort of our cozy retreat. Waking up to the sight of the sun rising over the mountains, followed by days spent exploring the outdoors, made this stay truly special. The peaceful atmosphere and the unique design of the dome created a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation for our family.

My tips for the making the most of your adventure to Breifonna Dome

 Norway’s weather can be unpredictable, so bring layers, including a good waterproof jacket and sturdy hiking boots. Even in summer, temperatures can vary, especially in the mountains.

 Consider visiting in late spring or early fall to avoid crowds and experience the vibrant colors of the changing seasons. The landscapes are just as stunning, and you’ll enjoy more tranquility.

 A small travel kettle can be a convenient addition to your packing list. It’s perfect for making a quick cup of coffee or tea in the mornings, enhancing your experience in the beautiful Norwegian landscape.

Vollsnes domecamp Beachfront is a perfect starting point for paddling, fishing, swimming, activities on the water, hiking – or if you just want to relax and have nature close to you.

In Beachfront Tindefjell and Beachfront Breifonna, they sleep in comfortable double beds and duvets, and if there are more people in the traveling party or the family, there is room for two extra on the sofa bed.

The food can be grilled on a fire pan and the domain has its own outdoor area. There are no shower possibilities, but they can use Strynevatnet for a wash!

All equipment, toilet and boats, kayaks and SUP boards are free for use for our guests.
