Thorupgaard – glamping for the whole family

We enjoy being able to offer our guests a respite from a hectic everyday life. Here there is time to play with our cuddly cats together with the youngest of the family. Give the cattle and ponies a tot of grass or a carrot. Go to the barn to greet the mini pig Grøffe and his little pig family, pet the rabbits and the cute guinea pigs. Children are also very welcome to help the farmer feed all the animals and collect eggs from the chickens.
And then we have the hayloft - a wonderful playground for both young and old. Here you can build caves and play hide and seek.

Out in the large courtyard there is also room for play and relaxation: large sandpit with swing stand, playhouse, slide and bicycles and scooters etc. And chairs and tables for the adults. Here is also a look at the funny pygmy goats. And in our little "forest" there is a playhouse in the big beech tree, and a big trampoline next to the campfire.

You will live in a 28 square meter tent with window panels, so you have a view of the starry sky. :
On the terrace there is a large wilderness bath, which is heated by the associated wood-burning stove. It is a wonderful experience to sit in the warm water and enjoy the view over the fields. Here you can enjoy the company of people you care about and maybe have a small drink or two. We are happy to help with lighting, but after that you have to take care of maintaining the fire in the wood-burning stove by burning firewood for about half an hour until you reach the desired temperature. It usually takes 4-5 hours. Firewood can be bought from us or brought with you.

Possibility of renting cold water tubs filled with cold water and ice cubes. A fantastic experience jumping from the warm water into the icy water.

Thorupgaard Gårdbutik & Grillcafe
Here in the spring of 2023, we have built a combined farm shop and grill cafe in the old pigsty.
The shop/cafe is comfortably furnished with furniture, utility and decorative objects from a bygone era.
In the freezer in the farm shop you will find delicious, tender beef from our own Dexter cattle. Our cattle are out in the field and in the meadow all year round. The calves always stay with their mothers and receive mother's milk as long as they want. This natural life gives healthy, strong animals, which are very rarely sick, and therefore also do not receive medication. And you can taste it on the meat. We have different cuts: steaks for the grill or pan, short ribs, ground beef etc. However, we reserve the right that certain cuts may be sold out.
We have minced pork and sausages from "Glad Gris". At "Glad Gris", the pigs roam freely in the field and root in the ground. Happy pigs with a curl on the tail, and meat with a fantastic taste.
Beer, water, wine and organic eggs in the cooler.
In addition, we also have mead, honey, snacks and handicrafts from local artists.
In the grill cafe, we have burgers, which are all made from mince from our cattle, grilled chicken, French fries, sausage mix, sandwiches, smørrebrød, etc. on the menu.
And home-baked cakes, including pretzel cake, coffee/tea and, not least, old-fashioned iced waffles. Try a Thorupgaard Waffle with 3 scoops of ice cream, waffles, sprinkles, jam and cream bun.
During the children's summer holiday, we also offer homemade "Grandmother's food", which must be ordered no later than 10 am on the same day.

You can also order a picnic basket: Sandwich, cake, fruit, small bottle of wine, water and glasses, cutlery and plates.
It is also possible to order food to make yourself: "Bake-yourself-mini-pizzas", pancake batter with accessories or popcorn.
