High to the sky, peace and quiet, beautiful nature and many animals. This is something that you can experience as a guest here at the Thorupgaard farm. The cozy cabin is right next to the meadow, where our Dexter cattle walk and graze together with the three ponies Malthe, Alberte and Kamala Harris 
The cabin is comfortably furnished with a nice bed, which is made up with duvets, pillows and bed linen. 
A small cozy nook with armchairs, small table and lamp, where you can enjoy yourself with a game of cards or a board game. Or a good cup of coffee

In extension of the cabin, there is a covered terrace with a barbecue, a table with two chairs and reading sails to the west and south. Perfect place to sit and enjoy the morning sun.

Next to the cabin there is a large terrace with wilderness bath and 2 deckchairs with table.
The Wilderness Bath has a bubble massage and light. Relax in the warm water while you get a massage from the bubbles, and enjoy a cool glass of rosé or a beer. It's not even as bad as we say here in Vendsyssel.
The Wilderness Bath is heated with firewood. Bring your own firewood or buy it here from us, and light the fire yourself. However, we are always helpful with the lighting.
We are also happy to heat the wilderness pool so that it is ready to jump in when you arrive. Price DKK 600 including firewood.
As the start, or perhaps the end, of a lovely day, it is obvious to light a small fire in the fire pit next to the cabin. Maybe make popcorn, bake pancakes or bread rolls over the fire? And end the day by enjoying the last embers of the fire as the sun sets in the west.

And if you've brought your walking shoes, we can recommend a trip on the Stenum path, a 5 km long adventure route which, among other things, goes down into our beautiful meadow. A map of the path is in the cabin.

Shared facilities include a toilet van with shower, playground, large sandpit, and the stable with, among other things, minipigs, rabbits, chickens and ducks.

The price includes breakfast, final cleaning, bed linen, towels, bathrobes and slippers. 

In 2023, we have set up a combined farm shop and grill cafe in the old pigsty. 
The shop/cafe is comfortably furnished with furniture, utility and decorative objects from a bygone era. 
In the freezer in the farm shop you will find delicious, tender beef from our own Dexter cattle. Our cattle are out in the field and in the meadow all year round. The calves always stay with their mothers and receive mother's milk as long as they want. This natural life gives healthy, strong animals, which are very rarely sick, and therefore also do not receive medication. And of course we don't spray our fields. And you can taste it on the meat, which is tender and tastes fantastic. We have different cuts: steaks for the grill or pan, short ribs, ground beef etc. However, we reserve the right that certain cuts may be sold out. 
There is beer, water, wine in the cooler.
In addition, we also have mead, jams, honey, snacks and handicrafts from local artists. 
In the grill cafe, we have burgers, which are all made from mince from our own cattle, grilled chicken, French fries, sausage mix, sandwiches, smørrebrød etc. on the menu. 
And home-baked cakes, including pretzel cake and coffee/tea
During the children's summer holiday, we also offer homemade "Grandmother's food", which must be ordered no later than 10am on the same day. Ask the staff what is on the menu.
You can also order a picnic basket: Sandwich, cake, fruit, small bottle of wine, water and glasses, cutlery and plates. 
It is also possible to order food to make yourself: "Bake-yourself mini-pizzas", pancake dough with accessories, bread dough with ketchup, mustard and remoulade, or popcorn to make over a fire.
