A Casa da Ribeira é um encantador chalé de granito, construído na década de 1960 pelo renomado escritor António Alçada Baptista. Inspirado por seu avô, o primeiro a construir uma casa na Serra da Estrela, e por seu pai, ex-presidente da Câmara da Covilhã, António criou este refúgio literário sobre uma cascata de água, cercado por uma deslumbrante paisagem natural.

Nesta casa pitoresca, António Alçada Baptista encontrou inspiração para escrever seu primeiro livro, "Peregrinação Interior Vol. 1". O chalé também recebeu ilustres amigos do autor, como o escritor português José Cardoso Pires, que aqui escreveu um de seus livros, e os escritores brasileiros Jorge Amado e Zélia Gattai.
