Our 2 premium Bowers are our newest addition and are set at the back of the ridge with the covered decks facing north. They are for a couple only. The bedroom has a King size bed with your own dressing gown and slippers. In the spacious bathroom, you have a double spa bath, double shower, vanity, and WC, as with all our Bowers you have the blue tooth piped music. For the cooler winter months, the under-floor heating in the bathroom is warm and inviting. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, cooktop, dishwasher, and all you need to cook up a delicious meal. Or on those beautiful days, you can sit outside under the partly covered deck and fire up the Webber BBQ while enjoying a beer or bubbles. Each Bower has a 4-seater dining table and chairs inside and a 2-seater setup with sun lounges outside on the sun-drenched deck. On those cooler nights sit back and enjoy the fireplace while watching your favorite movie on Netflix or better still just sit back and reconnect with each other.

The Premium Spa Bower is also fully self-contained with a fully equipped modern kitchen/laundry & bathroom including a double spa/jacuzzi, [with underfloor heating & with piped music to the bathroom] a double shower recess, flat-screen smart TV, Free NBN WiFi, Reverse Cycle Air conditioning and a large covered private BBQ deck.

Watch our peaceful alpacas grazing around the paddock against a glorious backdrop of rolling Gippsland hills. In here, you will get a lovely feeling of being with the nature. There is only a few places like this where you can wake up in the morning to the singing of our local birds.
Truly a magnificent place to stay!

The farm is located on a 70 acre of pasture and forest. There are plenty of things to do here from a lovely long walks around our farm, to watching the feeding of the alpacas or help in collecting the eggs if you like. We have bees for our own honey, we bottle fruit from our fruit trees – apples, pears, peaches, plums. cherries, blackberries, blueberries, walnuts and Nashis when in season.

Our alpacas birth their crias from mid-November to the end of January so you are bound to see some young ones running around. Shearing is in the month of November. You may message us to inquire about specific dates for shearing if you’d like to observe. Or why not spend some of your time all going on an alpaca walk.

Our tiny house is a lovely studio space of 155 sqft. It offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, complete with a queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and heating. Perfect for 2 persons!

The kitchenette has everything you need to cook your light meals with. A portable cooker, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes & silverware, microwave and even a mini fridge. The portable cooker can be kept in the drawers when not in use to maximise space.

Our bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia's severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, we help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. Wastes are broken down in the compost toilet via an aerobic decomposition process. It is a waterless system (no need to flush!), whereas a standard dual flush toilet would use up to 350L of water per week. An aeration fan helps in the decomposition process and minimises odours.

If you're using your own soap, shampoo, tooth paste, we ask that you bring biodegradable ones so that the grey water runoff does not harm the environment. Thank you!

– There is a bus service to Leongatha. Our land host can collect you from there and return you to Leongatha when your stay is finished. This would cost an additional $100 and can fit in 2 passengers comfortably

Funky Tiny

For up to 6 guests. Great for pets and families.

Our riverside cabins are very comfortable and you should have everything you need for an enjoyable stay.  Each log cabin is fully furnished with a full kitchen, outdoor BBQ and has a cosy fireplace. There is a Nespresso coffee machine for yummy capuccinos.

There is one separate bedroom with king-size bed plus 4 single sofa beds in the main room. While all cottages have the same bedroom and floor layout, each one is furnished slightly differently. Some cabins have balconies, others have wide open spaces.

Turon Gates accommodation is self-catering so bring your food and drinks and a beach towel with you if you like the idea of swimming in the river on your doorstep. 

Your pet is welcome to stay with you. Do bring bedding and feeding bowls, look after droppings and please no pets up on the beds or chairs.

The lounge area has a large glass fronted fireplace with comfy leather lounges together with 2 extra double futons if needed. 2 main bedrooms with a separate bathroom complete the downstairs area.

A beautifully crafted wooden staircase leads to the loft area which has 4 double futons, a TV set which can play DVD's, toys, books and games for children and adults alike. There is a gate at the top of the stairs for safety for little ones.

There is a large covered balcony with a gas BBQ, lounge and dining setting for 12 to 14 people which leads down to a outdoor campfire area.

The Eagle’s Nest

This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage has a wide covered and secure balcony and looks over a spawning creek for trout that feeds the main Turon Gates stream. It is situated on a point on the river and is very private.

A little note for young ones - hours of enjoyment can be had down by the stream - look for tadpoles, frogs and wombat visits.

Spacious and cool, each of the nine safari bungalows are built on stilts overlooking the floodplains frequented by a myriad of bird and animal life.

Mesh screens serve as your walls on three sides of your Safari Bungalow. Being surrounded by semi-transparent screens provides an experience in which you can hear, see and almost touch the wildlife and wilderness around you.

The alarm clock in the morning is the call of Magpie Geese, after whom the camp is named, as the orange light of dawn spreads across the floodplain, all is audible and visible without having to leave your bed!

The focus is on a supremely comfortable bed (organic cotton linen, pillow menu) and a spacious ensuite bathroom with high pressure showers. In addition to corrugated iron and lantern lighting, the bungalow décor reflects the region’s earlier indigenous, hunting and pastoral history with buffalo horns, explorer’s maps, Aboriginal art work and fish traps as well as old photos providing a sense of the human heritage of the area. Each room has a cold water thermos, local flora and fauna reading materials and species list.

You won’t find a television, CD player, mini bar or even mobile phone reception here – a true escape to your immediate environment. At night, the only sound is the meanderings of marsupials in the foliage and the croak of frogs.

In true Wild Bush Luxury style, the Arkaba Homestead pays homage to its rich pastoral and exploration heritage in a manner that is both rustically chic and utterly exclusive. 

Your hosts ensure a friendly and personal level of service that is typically ‘down to earth’ but does not lose sight of the attention to the small details that are so important in delivering an outstanding outback experience. 

The original layout of 1850s’ homestead has been retained, delightfully making all of the five guestrooms unique. Each has its own character and all have ensuite bathrooms and open out onto a shaded verandah with individual views of the surrounding ranges. Four are located in the homestead, while the Coachman’s Cottage in the corner of the garden provides a fifth guestroom and is ideal for honeymooners.

The rooms are air conditioned / heated and the mix of king and twin beds have premium mattresses, organic cotton sheets and a choice of pillows to ensure a great night’s sleep.

A comfortable library with deep leather armchairs and a large stone fireplace provides seclusion for enjoying a quiet drink and a good book, while dinner is hosted on the terrace overlooking the ranges. In the heat of summer, the swimming pool overlooking the Arkaba Creek is a welcome retreat after a morning or day spent exploring the bush.

Arkaba Conservancy

The Kingfisher Suite reflects Bamurru's core philosophy of blending the accommodation as closely as possible with the surrounding bush, however, is designed to allow guests a superior sense of seclusion while retaining a spectacular outlook on the Swim Creek floodplain. The sense of scale in this floodplain setting is accentuated by the size of the suite and Bamurru's trademark ceiling to floor mesh screens allowing guests an intimate sense of exposure to the wildlife and wilderness outside.

With 81m2 of space in the bedroom alone, the suite features a king size bed, lounge area and (if travelling as a family) space to accommodate a family of 5 in comfort - deluxe swags are provided for children to sleep out on the enclosed suite verandah. The proximity and sounds of the bush at night provide a sense of excitement while securely tucked up behind the screened walls of the suite.

For honeymooners looking for a sense of privacy, the Kingfisher Suite allows for in room dining, with a camp table set up for an intimate candlelit dinner with only the sounds of the bush as company. Meals are served by staff members from the main lodge with wines chosen from the lodge wine list.

The bathroom features twin basins and showers, within a décor of rustic chic timber and corrugated walls utterly in tune with the environment and pastoral heritage of the area. For maximum exposure (and only the local Agile Wallabies as company) the suite also offers a shower with full ceiling to floor views across the floodplain and surrounding paperbark forests.

To make your stay more enjoyable we provide electric blankets and 100% cotton quality bed linen, comfortable mattresses and coffee and tea making facilities. There is a deep claw foot bath in the bathroom for total relaxation. A slow combustion stove in the lounge for toasty winters evening. Additional electric and gas heating is provided in the bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom.

Relax in a well equipped country kitchen with all you need to completely self cater and a balcony with stunning views to enjoy the gas bbq and outdoor setting.

There is a train station at Katoomba only a 5 min walk from the house down lurline st. There are buses in Katoomba st, Lurline st and surrounding suburbs in easy walking distance from the cottage. 
There is parking on Lurline and Leichhart Streets, though not directly outside the house.  
Sydney is a 1 1/2 hour drive.

We are beautifully decorated with all the modern conveniences of Dishwasher, Nespresso machine, induction cooktop and fully self contained kitchen. I have sourced organic lemon myrtle bathroom products and the bed is made super comfy with a memory foam mattress cover and Egyptian cotton sheeting.

The whole cabin is rented as one space.

24 hour access via a keylock box located at the cabin so no interaction with your hosts is needed. Our cleaner is located next to the resort if there is any issues.

{b}Getting Around{/b}
There are two ways from Sydney, we have found option 2 to be the quicker way.
1.Scenic coast road, take the M1 and follow the signs from Berry to Kangaroo Valley.
2.Country drive, follow the M5 motor way to Mittagong and take the Bowral/Mittagong turnoff, from Bowral follow the signs to Nowra/Fitzroy Falls from Fitzroy Falls to Kangaroo Valley.(approx. ½ hour from Bowral to Kangaroo Valley). When you arrive at the entrance to the village, past the bridge, you will see a turning to the right signed for Mt Scanzi Road and Kangaroo Valley Country Club. The entrance to the property is approx. 5km along this road Total journey approx. 2 hours depending on the traffic out of Sydney.

Kangaroo Valley Timber Cabin

The cottage has pine raked ceilings, slate floor and comprises 2 queen size bedrooms, a separate bunk room with four single bunk beds complete with all bedding requirements. 

It has 1 bathroom with the toilet, a shower and a spa bath to relax in. The dining room has a beautiful jarrah table and chairs, the lounge room has a sofa where you can snuggle up in front of the wood burning fire and enjoy the ambience of flickering flames during a cosy winter escape. 

There is a small library of books and DVD’s, a Satellite TV and WIFI. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, tea / coffee making facilities, four burner gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave and fridge. There is a gas barbecue on the verandah and a Portacot and high chair are available at no charge if pre-booked. 

All you need to bring is your own food and refreshments.

So much to see and do besides just wandering the property. Play tennis on our adjacent court (gear supplied if necessary), swim in what one of our previous guests once described as a 'lagoon like' swimming pool, or fish catch and release in the creek.
Walk the extensive gardens or just sit and listen to the bird sounds and maybe witness a kangaroo hopping by or a koala climbing a tree.
Spend some time with our flock of heritage chickens. Say a special hello to Pete the handsome peacock and his ‘missus’.  You can also get friendly with our small herd of cattle.
Plenty for kids to safely explore and mix with NATURE, but its also a romantic scenario for couples and great for groups.
Our tiny homes are elegantly and prettily furnished and come with all the equipment necessary for comfortable sleeping, cooking and for your general enjoyment. These homes have either a queen or double bed for two adults and a loft or bunkbed for 2 children. 
You can also make this a true AUSSIE campfire 'drovers dinner' experience with our fireplaces cum barbeques with camp ovens with tri pods supplied for your grill or stew. Make a damper and enjoy it with golden syrup and cream as dessert. Boil the billy for a 'bushie cuppa'.

Our 20-acre property is located less than two-hour drive from Sydney and is situated 627m above sea level. Being at this altitude level, the weather is on average 5 degrees cooler in summer and winter than that of Sydney. We can experience 4 seasons in one day so always bring winter woollies and a raincoat.
Looking up at the sky at night gives you the WOW factor. You will see stars that you never knew even existed with our clear environment.

We are surrounded by National Parks with spectacular lookouts and waterfalls. A 15-min walk through the back of our property, through our own rainforest, takes you to the edge of the escarpment to our very own private lookout overlooking the Illawarra district. A 1.2km walk or bicycle ride up our quiet road surrounded by cattle farms brings you to spectacular Lees Rd Lookout where you can see the coastline from The Royal National Park (Sydney) all the way down to Shellharbour where spectacular sunrises are assured.

We are only 25-minute drive to the wonderful beaches of the south coast which offer a variety of activities to be explored. Foxglove Cottage is located on the banks of Missingham Creek which winds its way through our property. There are ample swimming holes to enjoy the crystal clear water but “please don’t pee in our pool” because it’s Sydney’s drink water!

We have three horses which roam our property in fenced paddocks. Whilst visitors stay, the horses will be kept out of the way. If you wish to meet them, please let us know.

{b}The space{/b}
The tiny house offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette complete with air-conditioning and heating. There is a queen sized bed up in the loft and a sofa bed on the ground floor, which can be converted to a single bed size. It can sleep 2 adults (in the loft) and 1 child (on the sofa bed) comfortably.

The kitchenette has everything you need to cook your light meals with. A portable cooker, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes & silverware, microwave and even a mini fridge. The portable cooker can be kept in the drawers when not in use to maximise space.

Our bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia's severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, we help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. Wastes are broken down in the compost toilet via an aerobic decomposition process. It is a waterless system (no need to flush!), whereas a standard dual flush toilet would use up to 350L of water per week. An aeration fan helps in the decomposition process and minimises odours.

If you're using your own soap, shampoo, tooth paste, we ask that you bring biodegradable ones so that the grey water runoff does not harm the environment. Thank you!

Guests are free to roam around our paddocks but must ensure all gates are left as they found them. Guests are only allowed to approach our horses with hosts permission and supervision.

{b}Other things to note{/b}
– We are surrounded by farms so you may hear the occasional cow or donkey, among the chatter of birds and frogs
– We have 3 horses and 2 friendly border collie dogs
– Languages spoken are English and German
– As we are located 627m above sea level and Robertson is regarded as the 'Green Heart of the Highlands' for a reason, we can get 4 seasons in 1 day, so adequate clothing is highly recommended, including solid footwork
– Good mobile reception for Telstra and Optus
– Outdoor movie is available (depends on weather condition). There is a large movie list available in the Welcome Folder on site or guests may bring their own DVDs or USB sticks
– Guests with infants would have to bring their own portable travel cot
– If travelling with young children, guests are advised to keep an eye on them at all times as the stairs to the loft is steep

Foxglove Cottage, Tiny house

The Ultimate Bowers are designed for 1 couple. The bedroom has a King size bed with your own dressing gown and slippers. In the spacious bathroom you have a double spa bath, single shower and vanity with blue tooth piped music, and a separate WC. For the cooler winter months, the under-floor heating in the bathroom is warm and inviting. Also available for your convenience is a washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, cooktop, dishwasher, and all you need to cook up a delicious meal. Or on those beautiful days, you can sit outside and fire up the Webber BBQ while enjoying a beer or bubbles. Each Bower has a 4-seater dining table and chairs inside and a 2-seater setup with sun lounges outside on the sun-drenched deck. On those cooler nights sit back and enjoy the fireplace while watching your favorite movie on Netflix or better still just sit back and reconnect with each other.

The Ultimate Spa Bower [aka the Satin or Private Spa Bower] is also fully self-contained. This luxury accommodation also includes a fully equipped modern kitchen/laundry & bathroom including a double spa/jacuzzi, [with underfloor heating & piped music to the bathroom] a single shower recess, woodfire place, with a starter supply of logs, flat-screen smart TV, Free NBN WiFi, Reverse Cycle Air conditioning and a large sunny BBQ deck.
