We've combined the security and ease of campsite, with the feel and experience of Wild Camping. Each pitch is carefully selected to give you the most remote and secluded experience of camping with the most amazing scenery.You'll have the whole field to yourselves with no one is in sight nor sound.

Here, at Hamperley Hideaways we’ve created a space just for you. With our Wild Camping, you are not booking your own camping pitch, you are booking the whole field to yourselves. So, no worrying about the neighbours being too loud - with no-one else around in sight nor sound, this area of outstanding natural beauty is all yours to enjoy. And with our contact free check in,  you can spend the whole trip in peace and quiet.

These, Explorer's Pitches, tucked away in the furthest corners of Hamperley Farm, are only accessible by foot (5 minute walk) and are designed to give campers the experience of wild camping in the most remote locations we have to offer. If you coming with the whole family and lots of stuff please have a look at the Family Friendly Pitch as this is a lot shorter walk  for those with lots of equipment!

Each pitch is set up with a picnic table, fire pit and compost toilet. So all you need to do is pick your favourite spot and bring your tent, and get yourselves set up!

Please, note that whilst we think these spots are fantastic, they may not be to everyone's tastes or requirements. There is no running water, electric or flush able toilets - if you want a little more comfort in your break we recommend having a look at our other camping spaces  or our unique Glamping sites.
