Have you ever wondered what it's like to sleep like a bird in a warm nest? With us you can try just that.

The Bird Box Cabin is anything but a primitive nest. With us you will find peace in front of the wood-burning stove, in the sunken bathtub, or perhaps sitting in the round window with a panoramic view of the fjord.

The Bird Box Cabin has three sleeping areas with space for six people in three beautiful Norwegian-made double beds for maximum comfort. Here you can choose to sleep with a view of the fjord, look straight into the wildlife in the forest, or sleep among the treetops under the starry sky in the nest at the top.

With us, the idea is that you can just bring someone you love with you and calm down. 

The unique accommodation has all the amenities. The kitchen is equipped with a stovetop, microwave/oven, refrigerator and dishwasher, as well as all the cups, pots, plates and cutlery. Locally roasted coffee from the other side of the fjord is waiting for you on the shelf, as well as a selection of teas.

The bathroom is equipped with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and towels. Here you will also find soft bathrobes to snuggle in. The beds are made when you arrive. Duvets and pillows are made of allergy-friendly Norwegian down.

Breakfast is included. For breakfast, a local food basket with world-class ingredients from the Trøndelag platter is delivered. It is delivered to your door at the agreed time.

The cabin is built on a field islet on the Vestigården farm, which grows grain. Only a field separates the cabin from the Borgenfjord and the view of Den Gyldne Omvei in Inderøy. There are several beautiful hiking trails and cycling routes in the vicinity. You can read more about them in the cabin book.

The cabin was designed by Rallar Arkitekter from Trondheim. It is built of Norwegian solid wood from Steinkjer by Arkitre in Verdal. The interior has been designed by Studio Strek from Inderøy. We are proud of the use of sustainable and locally sourced materials and manufacturers. And the round window sill you can lie on is unique, as the hosts designed it themselves.

It is only a one-minute walk from the parking lot to the birdhouse cabin, but the cabin is not suitable for those with weak legs as the stairs are a bit steep.

You can order lunch, dinner or supper to be ready in the fridge upon arrival.

The cabin is rented as a unit, regardless of whether you are two people or six people. We offer two, three and four nights at a better price - then breakfast delivery is included every day. With us, it is possible to book only entire weekends from Friday to Sunday. If you want single nights, it is possible on weekdays.

In Vestigården we have a pop-up arena in the barn. Everything from local gourmet food around a long table to intimate concerts, stand-up, book clubs, pubs and cafés is offered here. Stay tuned to vestigardenen.no for our next event.
