The captain's house was once built for a local sailor who sailed the seven seas, and while he lived here in this house he worked as captain of the Skibladner - the world's oldest steam-powered paddle boat in regular operation.
 
The house has today been renovated in a great maritime style, while at the same time it has been upgraded with all modern facilities. On the first floor there are two large living rooms - a living room with sofas and TV, as well as a dining room with space for approx. 10 people. The fully equipped kitchen is conveniently located right next to the dining room. Both the dining room and living room have beautiful wood-burning stoves, as well as an efficient heat pump for an even temperature around the clock.
 
On the second floor there are 4 large bedrooms, with a total of 9 comfortable beds. This floor also contains a large bathroom with shower, 2 wash basins, washing machine and tumble dryer. You have free access to wireless Internet throughout the house.
