"Forbord Dome" is an exclusive glamping experience for two people in the heart of nature. You can sleep under the stars, enjoy the panoramic view over the Trondheimsfjorden, catch a magical sunset or see the fantastic northern lights if you're lucky. The dome is a full 23 square meters with a window in the roof and in the front and it is placed on a terrace on two levels with a seating area and fire pit.


There are many great hiking opportunities in the area, how about a trip to the top of "Forbordsfjellet"?


The court is located approx. 10 minutes from Trondheim Airport Værnes on Stjørdal and approx. 40 min. from Trondheim. From the car park you have to walk a partly steep forest road up to the Dome, ***** meters in height depending on the parking option used.


The dome is placed by itself in the hillside up towards "Forbordsfjellet", approx. 300 m. There are two parking options and the distance from parking to the dome is from ***** meters depending on parking/route. You walk on a partly steep forest road from the car park to get all the way to the dome. It is 150 meters in height to go up from the farm to the Dome, but only 75 meters in height from the nearest car park (toll road).


In the dome there is a ready-made king-size double bed and a seating area for two people.


There is plenty of heat in the dome (wood stove/diesel heater), but we recommend bringing warm clothes on cold days.


You don't have to leave the dome to go to the bathroom, it has a separate room with a toilet.


You are welcome to bring a dog or other pets, but due to allergies, these cannot be inside the dome. We do have a great dog house outside though.


There is 10 liters of drinking water in the dome on arrival, otherwise little access to clean drinking water. You also have access to a primus and two saucepans for easy cooking. Remember that the primus must be used outdoors. There is also a grill grate for the brazier that can be used for grilling. Free access to tea and coffee.


There are shower facilities down in the yard.


We can also offer our guests something extra for their stay, namely a cheese plate or a plate of cured meat for two people. Both the cheese platter and the platter of cured meats cost NOK. 500,-. The type of cheese and cured meat may vary. Contact us for booking after you have booked your stay.


It goes down steeply in front of the dome, so we ask that you do not force the ropes that have been set up as barriers.


Phones can be charged in a separate USB socket. A charging cable without a plug must be brought with you.
