Once upon a time, some dreamy people wanted so fervently to set up a glass igloo at the very bottom of the water's edge of a large pond in a fairytale forest. This igloo was to be accessible to people and fairies and trolls who wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Here they were to experience the comfort of a hotel room while being able to connect with nature and each other without any disturbances... 

And then one day the dream came true...


The igloo "Eventyvannet ved Helgeroa" is only a 15-minute drive from Larvik. After a short stroll of 3-4 minutes from the parking lot, you arrive at the igloo, which is located on a natural small hill in the landscape, a couple of meters above the water. Here you get the feeling of floating above the pond while being surrounded by tall tree crowns and a hilly terrain! 

With your own pond at your feet, you have excellent opportunities for swimming. The lake is deep, so here you can swim straight from shore. In winter, you get an enchanting view, and then you have both a bonfire and good chairs available. 

Please note that if you book your stay with accommodation in April, there may be changes in relation to where you will park. This is due to the phone in the ground on the gravel road up to the car park. It happens for a couple of weeks every year in April, and then the car must be parked on the host's farm. In these cases, the walk to the igloo on a dirt road will take 20-30 minutes. 

The igloo is furnished functionally and robustly, while at the same time you will experience a delicate taste of Nordic design. We combine flexible solutions that give you comfort and restful breathing during the day, evening and night.

There is no running water or electricity in the igloo, but don't worry — we'll make sure you have a 5-litre can of drinking water available and an outdoor kit. 

When you arrive at the igloo, you will experience a warm and airy atmosphere where you can settle down and enjoy the nature you are a part of. With a small seating area, a sofa and a bench, you can sit, lie down and relax comfortably in several ways.

The igloo is 5 meters in diameter and 240cm at its highest point. It has an air hatch and a wood stove, so it can easily be fired up on cold days. The igloo is equipped with blinds that can be pulled up to about one and a half meters if necessary.

Outdoors is a key word for our guests. That is why we also have prepared areas outside the igloo where you can enjoy the tranquility of the forest.
