Welcome to Birdbox Reksta, idyllically located on an island outside Florø. Here you are at one with nature and get both sunrise and sunset from your bed. The surroundings are rich in wildlife, including sheep, deer and eagles, and there are great walking areas just around the Birdbox, whether you want to take a mountain walk or a swim in the sea.

You take a scheduled ferry from Florø to Rognaldsvåg, which is stopped at Reksta. From there you can drive to Reksta school in Indre Reksta and park approx. 300m from the Birdbox. Then you must have booked a place on the scheduled ferry in advance, for your own car both to Reksta, and back to Florø before you travel. Otherwise, you can take a scheduled ferry without a car and park the car in Florø. Walking time at Reksta is then approx. 40 min. in flat terrain on a marked path/road. By agreement, you can be driven by the host. Pictures and more information will be sent when ordering.

From Reksta school and the car park there, you walk approx. 300m to get to the Birdbox which includes a few meters of height to get up. Cross the school grounds and follow the marked path to Birdbox Reksta. At the school house there is access to a bathroom with shower and toilet. At the Birdbox you have access to a Birdbox toilet with a separating toilet.

There is a grocery store on the island when you come ashore from the boat. It may therefore be a good idea to plan the purchase of food and drink in advance of your stay.

Birdbox Reksta collaborates with local actors such as Reksta Villsau. Among other things, they supply short-traveled organic food such as cured sausage from wild sheep and deer, and other products such as sheepskin and butt warmers. The products can be pre-ordered and will be ready for your stay.
