Hørhaven is an ecological visitor farm that cultivates climate-friendly permaculture and forestry agriculture and focuses on animal welfare and biodiversity. Hørhaven is part of Dyrenes Beskyttelses concept "Welfare delicacies" and sells own and local products in the farm shop.

When you visit us, you can be allowed to help with the daily tasks when we look after crops and animals. We strive for our products to be produced on the farm or locally and everything is of course of the best organic quality.

In agriculture, we produce lots of vegetables according to permaculture principles. We work towards a sustainable agriculture, so that we give more back to nature than we take. In our farm shop you can buy meat, eggs, vegetables, seeds and small plants of your own production and out in the fields you can see how well all our animals live.

On the farm we have many different animals because we believe that it gives the best use of our land and it is great to experience how the animals interact and graze the fields differently. We have Black-breasted Danish Landrace pigs, Danish Land Geese, Ducks, Guinea fowl, Dogs, Cats and lots of hens that lay eggs in almost all the colors of the rainbow.

In our meadows, for grazing the animals, there are sown with many different herbs and flowers which gives healthier animals, better taste to our products, provides honey and pollen for bees and insects and provides the optimal conditions for biodiversity.

Our animals are part of the Welfare Delicatessen concept. This means that we have old breeds that are adapted to the northern climate, so they can go out and enjoy the freedom all year round. The animals reproduce naturally and all pups are allowed to go with their mothers until they are weaned naturally. There is no castration or of clipping tails or ring in the nose. The animals are gently killed at home in their familiar environment so that they are not stressed unnecessarily. It provides an animal welfare that we are both proud of and that we can vouch for.

Hørhaven is located on Hørhavegård by Tystrup lake. It is one of the most beautiful places in Denmark. All our land is in a protected area with land down to Tystrup lake.

The farm is very idyllic and completely undisturbed at the end of a small country road in a hilly landscape right next to "Baunehøjen" which has a fantastic view of the beautiful nature with protected fields, grazing animals and large forests.

Apartment 1 is located in the living room and has both an entrance directly from the courtyard, as well as from the central entrance. The apartment has a small kitchen / living room with both a dining table and a small sofa. The kitchen has a stove and refrigerator, as well as cooking utensils and crockery so you can cook yourself. There are 2 rooms with 2 single beds (200 x 90 cm) in each room. There is a private bathroom in the apartment. Bed linen, towels and cleaning are included.
