The little yellow house from 1943 lies idyllically right down to the Gudenå and with 100 m of free private fishing rights for the house's guests. The area's most beautiful plot, completely undisturbed in the middle of nature and yet in the middle of the city.

The "Aahuset", which was a weapons depot for the resistance movement during World War II, is now furnished with everything you need if you want a few days away from the stress and bustle of everyday life.

From the house's entrance you enter the living room, which is furnished with a sofa bed, armchair, desk, and dining table with 4 chairs.

If you need to follow the news, we have installed a small TV with Cromecast.

In the small kitchen there is a stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, toaster, egg cooker and all the dishes for 4 people.

The house also includes a large outdoor gas grill.

On the 1st floor you will find two smaller rooms with exposed beams and a view of the Gudenåen. With mattresses for the midday nap and a lovely workplace, here is the opportunity to completely disconnect or perhaps immerse yourself in a writing project.

In the house is a bathroom with toilet and shower.

In the attached annex "Brinken" there is room for two in good beds.

In AaHuset there is Internet.

The plot is 2 ha with a small forest, own stream and only 15 m to Gudenåen. The wild ducks often come all the way up to the terrace, while swans, herons and cormorants are seen over the stream. If you are lucky, you can meet the kingfisher. In AaHuset you will find binoculars, nature books, etc. games, two small life jackets size 15-30 kg

There are also yoga mats and an exercise ball.

In the forest with 20 different types of wood, we have hung a swing from which you can follow life on the Gudenåen. Maybe you see the salmon jump.

We have provided tea towels and dish cloths, bathrobes, bed linen, towels and final cleaning. You just need to pack the toothbrush and maybe a pair of slippers.

If you arrive by Gudenåen, you can moor right next to the house.

If you arrive by train, we can possibly offer to drive you to the house.

If you are hiking or coming by canoe, it can be nice to have food ready in the house when you arrive.

It is therefore possible to order breakfast or tapas before arrival.

If you have the courage to try your hand at Gudenåen, you can rent our kayak and Paddleboard. Here we recommend that you start the trip upstream towards the city centre. Maybe enjoy an ice cream or a cup of coffee at "Isfuglen" and take the trip with the current back to AaHuset.

You can also choose to rent our bikes and go on a trip around the local area.

In AaHuset you will find white and red wine, whisky, gin, rum, which are billed according to consumption.
