This modern rustic cabin in a serene forest location makes a peaceful  hideaway. It has comfy Eve mattresses, a bathroom, kitchen / diner and seating area. It’s crafted from salvaged wood and fitted out with vintage finds. Hike or bike the pine forest trails, explore the local National Trusts (Sissinghurst, Scotney etc) or check out nearby Rye (ancient and full of charming independent  shops). Hit Rye Harbour Nature Reserve for coastal walks – the rolling dunes at Camber Sands are glorious too.

This cabin is only suitable for a couple or a family with children. No cots available but you are welcome to bring your own. There is a glass table and a glass trolley in the living room so be aware that furnishings are not entirely toddler-friendly.

Not suitable for group bookings.

Back garden for guests' use only.

I have 2 children so you may hear them occasionally. A timid cat and a small friendly dog are also on the premises.

Skoolie Stays is an icon of the American road, lovingly converted into luxurious accommodation in Sussex. It offers up to 4 guests a chance to stay in fantastically unusual accommodation in a beautiful part of Sussex close to the South Downs National Park.

The bus was inspired by the owners' 14,000 mile, year-long family road trip across America in a similar Skoolie. They fell in love with bus life and, when it came time to return to the UK, the whole family agreed - they had to ship one back to the UK.

The Skoolie Stays bus is a product of the knowledge and skills they developed over their year away, full of clever ideas and hand-built, design-led decor. Every element has been thought out in detail to maximise space, comfort, freedom, and fun. You will find lots of original features, repurposed and reimagined furniture, and top-of-the-range fixtures and fittings that help to make off-grid living comfortable, practical, and environmentally friendly.

Skoolie Stays comfortably sleeps up to 4 people in a king-size bed (2 guests) and 6ft murphy-style bunks (2 guests) that fold away when not in use. The kitchen provides plenty of space to cook and the American-style diner area, complete with the original bus seats and incorporates an old teak table from a local secondary school, is the perfect place for a meal. Oak herringbone floors, leather sofa, and a clean-burning log stove make the lounge area feel cosy and luxurious and the fully-tiled bathroom offers lovely hot showers.

When the sun goes down, step out onto the deck to watch the stars or warm up at the outdoor firepit.

6. Bathroom with fully tiled shower and a top-of-the-range composting toilet (no smells and no wasted water, helping you reduce the impact of your weekend away on the natural environment).

Secluded pods located on a rural farm, overlooking the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. A glamping experience with homely comforts, Lavender Pod can sleep up to four guests on a double bed and bunk beds. Lavender Pod also welcomes up to two well behaved dogs. Explore the nearby Peak District, with many walks, cycle routes and trails. Spending peaceful evenings in nature. 

We have an open meadow for games and such and a bluebell woodland for forest adventures, wild spa and children play area. We have a spring fed stream with rope swings and bridges and small paddling pools... We regularly have forest school , workshops and activities onsite that you are welcome to join in with.

Water Lily Lodge is approached down a country track and situated on the edge of a hidden lake, offering beautiful waterfront views. Enjoy the comfort and luxury this cabin has to offer, with a private hot tub overlooking the lake, surrounded by wildlife and nature.

Kingfishers Nest is our second cosy cabin and is situated on the edge of a hidden lake with commanding views across the water. The property is designed for couples and with one en-suite master bedroom, perfect for romantic getaways. Surrounded by nature, this beautifully designed snug has a list of luxuries including a sauna, hot tub and a bathtub in the bedroom all with special views of the water.
